Recently, I began helping what I know is a superior Christian organization by the name of Beyond Masters Commission improve their internet presence and SERP rankings.  In a nutshell, they are all about teaching post-high school teenagers and young, college-aged adults about growing up into the likeness and image of Jesus Christ. I’ve observed the results of the Masters Commission ministry for close to 2 years now and I have seen excellent fruit.

Partly because of that, and, of course, the fact that I’m a fabulous individual (kind-hearted, genereous and loving, to a fault 🙂 ), I have decided to help them out by suggesting improvements to their site and helping them improve their SEO (taking into account Panda through release 25 and of course Penguin… Truthfully, I personally wish both animals had been content to stay at the zoo.) and their SERP rankings which are the obvious result of the BeyondMasters.com site SEO.

Since I am a full-time internet marketer with my own teaching site (this site), I though my visitors might find it interesting if I do a case study about the improvement of the beyondmasters.com site on two of their targeted keywords.  It is my sincere hope that I can show you, step-by-step, how to move a site in a low competition niche into the top-5… Google/Bing/Yahoo SERP page 1, above the fold.

Today’s date is April 2, 2013.  I will follow the site’s SEO results for 6 months or until they are obviously going no higher.  That makes the termination date for the case study to be October 1, 2013.

The Beyond Masters Commission website was founded approximately 1 year ago on 19 Mar 2011.

The goal is to rank as highly as possible for the two keyword phrases within 6 months.  Ranking above the fold for both keywords that the case study is tracking will end the study.

The approach will be to have quality posts and pages and a sustainable backlinks campaign. It’s actually fairly good and demonstrates the power of a video without a “talking head,” if you are too shy to appear personally in a video.
